Fitness Fest

Fitness Fest 2015 begins on February 23 and goes through March 6. Daily challenges and the sky-high boot camp are extremely competitive and popular.  This event is co-sponsored by Intramurals and Recreational Life.

Fitness Fest 2014 Daily Calendar

Monday, February 24 FITNESS FEST BEGINS!

Meet with a Nutritionist by Sodexo
(2-4pm – Loughlan Dining Hall)

Daily Challenge: Climb the Empire State Building
Complete 1,860 steps on the stepper

Tuesday, February 25 Daily Challenge: Buddy Bingo
Complete “Buddy Bingo” work out with your favorite faculty or staff member.
Wednesday, February 26 For Women Only by Anna Stacey (10am-1pm – Health Services Office)

Daily Challenge: Lap Swimming
Complete 10 laps in the pool

Thursday, February 27 Introduction to Parkour (6pm – RLC Racquetball Court)

Daily Challenge: Parkour Workout
Complete the Parkour Workout class (7pm – RLC Racquetball Court)

Friday, February 28 Daily Challenge: Body Toning or Yoga
Complete the Body Toning (4:30pm – Studio B)
or Yoga (5:15pm – Studio A) fitness clas

Saturday, March 1 Daily Challenge: Spin Class
Complete the Spin Class (12:30 PM- RLC Spin Studio)
Monday, March 3 Daily Challenge: Bench Press & Pull Up Competitions
Participate in either the Bench Press or Pull Up competition (3-5:30pm – RLC Weight Room)
Tuesday, March 4 Daily Challenge: Wii Fitness (Exergaming)
Play one Wii game in the Student Center fitness center (4th Floor – Mac Mahon Student Center)
Wednesday, March 5 “Man vs. Food” by Dr. Vinnie (12pm – Student Center Game Room)

“Fitness Can Save Your Life” by Jessica Bowman, IFBB professional athlete, personal trainer & nutritionist (4pm – Family Sky Room)

Daily Challenge: Sky High Boot Camp
Complete the “Sky High Boot Camp” by fitness professional, Jessica Bowman (5:15pm – Duncan Sky Room)

Thursday, March 6 Wellness Fair: (12pm – Student Center Game Room)

Daily Challenge: 5K Run
Complete a 5K run (3.1 miles) on a treadmill

Friday, March 7 Fitness Fest winners announced!
