Trip to NYU Philosophy Department

On April 26, 2024, Dr. Daniel Murphy (Philosophy) and Dr. Devin Heyward (Sociology and Urban Studies) accompanied three SPU students, Sebastian Toro, Angel Palma, and Jorge Santos to the NYU Philosophy Department to see Dr. Lionel McPherson’s (Tufts University) presentation entitled “American Slavery (Caste), not Race.”

Dr. McPherson’s talk was part of the NYIP Project on the Philosophy of Race and Racism.
