Jerome Gillen (’66) Summer Internship Program now accepting applications!

The History Department is now accepting applications for the 2019 Jerome Gillen (’66) Summer Internship. The internship is designed to give students the opportunity to work in a local New Jersey archive or museum where they will gain first-hand experiences working with historical archival materials. Students will also receive a $1,000 stipend as well as $200 travel stipend, if necessary. This year’s featured organization is the New Jersey Room at the Jersey City Public Library.

Requirements:

  • The student must be a history major or minor in good standing and a rising sophomore, junior or senior.
  • The student will devote at least 100 hours to the program between May 15 and August 15. (The exact schedule will be determined in coordination with the recipient and the institution.)

If you are interested in applying for the internship, please complete the application and return it, along with a resume and one letter of recommendation from a faculty member, to the History Department by Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

Decisions will be made by Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
