English Professor Writes Review for Prestigious Literary Journal

William Luhr, Ph.D., professor of English at Saint Peter’s University, recently wrote a review for the prestigious literary journal, Studies in the Novel. The review was on John Paul Athanasourelis’s Raymond Chandler’s Phillip Marlowe: The Hard-Boiled Detective Transformed.  

Dr. Luhr is an internationally recognized authority on the work of Raymond Chandler and was selected as a keynote speaker at a major conference on his legacy. Dr. Luhr is also the author of the book, Raymond Chandler and Film, which has been published in two editions. His latest book, Film Noir, also deals with Chandler and a Chinese edition will be published this year.
