Professors Travel to the Norwegian Arctic to Study the Northern Lights

northern lightsDr. William Gutsch, Jr. ’67, Ph.D.,distinguished professor emeritus of the College of Arts and Sciences, recently led a small group of Saint Peter’s faculty to the Norwegian Arctic to study and photograph the Northern Lights. Accompanying Dr. Gutsch were Katherine Wydner, Ph.D., associate professor of biology, and Richard Petriello, Ph.D., professor emeritus of biology. While in the Arctic, Dr. Gutsch and Dr. Wynder also connected with the University of Tromso and the Tromso Geophysical Observatory about possible future joint programs with Saint Peter’s.
