Ahmad Williams serves as the Associate Vice President and Chief Business Officer at Saint Peter’s University, where he plays a key leadership role as a member of the President’s Cabinet. A Jersey City native who attended Saint Peter’s Prep, Ahmad returned to his hometown in 2019 to help guide the University’s financial and operational strategy with a focus on transparency, innovation, and long-term sustainability. In his role, he provides leadership and oversight for the University’s Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll departments while also managing the budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and resource allocation functions for the University’s academic and administrative divisions, ensuring that institutional resources are managed effectively and are in alignment with the University’s mission, strategic priorities, and student-centered values.

Since joining Saint Peter’s, Ahmad has led major initiatives to modernize the University’s financial systems, streamline budget development and forecasting processes, and strengthen reporting and accountability practices. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing cross-departmental collaboration, developing multi-year financial models, and implementing operational improvements that enhance both fiscal discipline and organizational efficiency.

Ahmad’s career spans more than two decades across higher education and the private sector. Prior to joining Saint Peter’s, he served as Assistant Vice President for Budget, Financial Planning and Analysis at the University, and previously held senior financial leadership positions at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he managed a $500 million operating budget and introduced new models for multi-year planning and performance management. Earlier in his career, Ahmad began on Wall Street as an NYSE Equities Trader for Goldman Sachs, gaining foundational expertise in capital markets, risk analysis, and financial modeling.

Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Morgan State University. Deeply committed to servant leadership, Ahmad is passionate about mentoring staff, fostering professional growth, and strengthening the culture of collaboration and excellence that defines the Saint Peter’s community.
