What is Health Information Management?

The Health Information Management (HIM) program teaches students how to manage and protect patient information.

People in HIM play a vital role in assisting medical professionals—keeping patient information organized and confidential, leading to better privacy and health outcomes.

You will learn how to ensure doctors have the right patient information when they need it most.

In our program you’ll answer questions, such as:

  • How can we improve patient care by better managing health information?
  • What are the different types of health information systems?
