Plan Your Brand

In the brave new economy, where corporations are leaner and rely more and more on outside contractors, building your personal brand is a must, according to Professor Robert Donnelly, an adjunct lecturer in the graduate business program at Saint Peter’s University. Professor Donnelly’s second book, Personal Brand Planning, provides guidance on defining one’s brand – the tangible value a professional brings to an organization – as well as self-marketing to achieve a fulfilling career. “It’s obvious that when someone is doing what they do well and enjoy doing, they are motivated to be successful and live happier lives,” the author said. A Venture Mentor who assists founders of start-up firms in the Stern Incubator at NYU’s Stern Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, Professor Donnelly specializes in entrepreneurship and marketing strategy.
