The Gateway Program

When students come to Saint Peter’s University, they are committing to live a life “for others,” bringing that sense of selflessness into their future and careers. As stewards of that mission and living it ourselves, Saint Peter’s is proud to offer a pathway for you to focus on your future, not your finances. The Gateway Program is available to New Jersey residents, admitted as full-time, first year undergraduates, if their families have a yearly income of $100,000 or less to attend Saint Peter’s University for free.* (eligibility restrictions apply).

Before coming to Saint Peter’s, I was unsure of how to pay for college, and I didn’t want to be a Financial burden to my family. Saint Peter’s gave me an opportunity to get a college education without having to worry about how to pay for it. Through joining the EOF Program during my Sophomore year, I also got additional aid and support.

The staff members at the Financial Aid office were very friendly and helpful in guiding me through the process of paying my tuition. There was always someone at the front desk to greet me and quickly direct me to the right person. They were very patient and understanding of my circumstances and helped me through each and every step of the way.

Financial Aid impacted my decision to attend Saint Peter’s as I had always wanted to get a college education, and through the quality aid that I received, it made my goal of going to college attainable. I also joined the TRIO SSS program, which gave me additional aid and allowed me to take some classes over the summer and start college with credits.
