Saint Peter’s University Ranks Among the Top Three Colleges and Universities in the State by NJBIZ Readers

Jersey City, N.J. – November 16, 2021 – Saint Peter’s University is proud to announce that it was ranked among the best in the state of New Jersey by NJBIZ readers in the 2021 NJBIZ Reader Rankings survey. Saint Peter’s was ranked among the top three in the Colleges/Universities category, MBA Program category and the Accounting Degree Program category.

“Tremendous transformations are currently underway at the Frank J. Guarini School of Business and we are honored to once again be recognized by NJBIZ readers, which helps us to spread the word about all of the exciting programs that we offer here,” said Mary Kate Naatus, Ph.D., KPMG dean of the Frank J. Guarini School of Business at Saint Peter’s University. “While there are many factors that contribute to our success in these rankings, it is truly the people of the Saint Peter’s community who have made us leaders in the business education space.”

The NJBIZ Reader Rankings award program began in 2017 and was designed to recognize the regard that NJBIZ readers have for the businesses in their communities. The annual survey features more than 60 categories and identifies leaders in a variety of industries ranging from banking, finance, insurance, education, health care, philanthropy, real estate and more. Three winners are selected in each category based on the number of votes that are received by NJBIZ readers.

The recent transformation and expansion of the Frank J. Guarini School of Business includes the development of the Collaboration Commons, Global Investment Lab and Hy-Flex (hybrid flexible) learning spaces for students. The new spaces have quickly evolved, housing project teams, student clubs and organizations, professional events and community and corporate partner events throughout the week. Students from all majors and programs can reserve these professional spaces for university-related activities. The Guarini School of Business faculty also recently developed a new mission statement and credo for the School as they celebrate 90 years of offering business programs at Saint Peter’s.

The accounting program has earned a reputation for developing accomplished graduates in one of the greatest business regions in the country and has recently added new courses in data analysis and Excel for Accounting and Business, an industry-aligned capstone experience and a CPA pathway course. In addition, the University’s MBA program offers a full range of industry relevant concentrations from business analytics and finance to healthcare administration and human resource management. The program, now available in a fully online format, offers IBM certifications and other in demand skillsets for students and professionals who seek to accelerate their career progression.  The success of these programs is driven by dedicated faculty who bring real world experience and applications to the classroom and equip students with the tools and knowledge for rapidly evolving industry needs and trends.
