Nutrition

Nutrition is one of the most essential elements of human health. As chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and obesity rise across the globe, Nutritionists and Dieticians are needed now more than ever. From 2016 to 2021, graduates from Nutrition programs increased by 70% making it one of the fastest growing bachelor’s programs in the country. In this field, students can create real human impact through a healthy career with growing employment options.

Please note: Certain courses within this program are offered online through a partnership with Rize Education. All courses are evaluated, approved and assessed through Saint Peter’s standard governance processes and taught by participating faculty within a national consortium of accredited institutions. Students who successfully complete these courses earn Saint Peter’s University credits that are applied toward their degree.

Better Health for all

Nutrition is key to tackling rising global health challenges. As diet-related diseases like obesity and diabetes surge, the demand for experts in dietary strategies is skyrocketing. The Center for Disease Control highlights this obvious, but often ignored, truth: “Good nutrition is essential in keeping current and future generations of Americans healthy across the lifespan. People with healthy eating patterns live longer and are at lower risk for serious health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.”

Our Nutrition Program will give you the tools you need to address these global health challenges. From the basics of food science to understanding full lifecycle nutrition, our curriculum is designed to nurture your passion for health-and well-being –– and prepare you for an impactful career in nutrition, dietetics, public health, or wellness coaching.
