Georgia Kral, professor in the Department of Communication and Media Culture at Saint Peter’s University, traveled to Burlington, Vermont, to participate in the annual Center for Community News (CCN) conference at the University of Vermont, joining faculty members from across the country.
The Center for Community News works to connect higher education programs with local newsrooms nationwide, with the goal of addressing the local news crisis in America.
Named a Faculty Champion by the Center last spring, Kral continues her work training Saint Peter’s students to report on and cover stories throughout Hudson County, providing opportunities for students to gain hands-on journalism experience while supporting local news coverage.
