James Adler, adjunct professor in the Department of Arts at Saint Peter’s University, has received four gold medals from the European International Music Awards (EIMA) Summer Session 2026, announced on September 30.
The awards recognize two singles, “Asturias” and “Lullaby,” from Adler’s new album, Legends, Romances and Lullabies, released October 1 by Cicerone Music & Art (CIMA Streams).
The four gold medals were awarded in the following categories:
- Best Classical Piano Solo Single: James Adler, “Asturias”
- Best Classical Art Song Single: James Adler, “Lullaby”
- Best Classical Art Song Composer: James Adler, “Lullaby”
- Best Classical Art Song Vocalist: Shana Farr, “Lullaby”
Adding to the recognition, Spotify editors selected both “Asturias” and “Lullaby” for the platform’s recommended New Classical playlist in September.
The album also received praise from Fanfare critics. Henry Fogel awarded it five stars, describing it as “a well-conceived program played with energy and commitment by James Adler,” while Peter Burwasser called it “an engaging musical portrait of an American composer and pianist.”
The album, Legends, Romances and Lullabies, is available to explore and listen to through Cicerone Music & Art.
