JERSEY CITY, N.J. – August 24, 2026– Saint Peter’s University has entered into a five-year partnership with the American University of Antigua College of Medicine (AUA) to create an enhanced pathway for Saint Peter’s graduates interested in pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
The partnership provides qualified Saint Peter’s graduates with an expedited pathway into AUA’s M.D. program while offering additional financial and admissions benefits designed to support students as they pursue careers in medicine.
Under the agreement, Saint Peter’s graduates with a GPA above 3.0 who meet AUA’s admission requirements will be eligible for expedited admission consideration. Eligible graduates will also receive a waived application fee and an expedited admissions process, including application review, interview and decision. Once accepted and committed to attending AUA, students will also have the pre-registration seat deposit waived.
In addition, Saint Peter’s graduates accepted into AUA’s M.D. program through the partnership will be eligible for a $10,000 Preferred Partner Grant, distributed over 12 academic terms throughout their medical education. AUA will not place a limit on the number of Saint Peter’s graduates eligible through the partnership, and students may also be eligible for other AUA scholarships and awards.
The partnership will also create opportunities for Saint Peter’s students to engage directly with AUA representatives. AUA will host three information sessions each year on the Saint Peter’s campus, providing students with opportunities to learn more about medical education, the admissions process and the pathway to becoming a physician.

AUA’s M.D. program follows a U.S.-modeled medical curriculum. Students complete their preclinical education at AUA’s campus in Antigua before moving into clinical education at affiliated teaching hospitals in the United States. The clinical phase provides students with hands-on experience in patient care across a range of medical specialties.

The new partnership expands the opportunities available to Saint Peter’s students interested in medicine and provides a defined connection between their undergraduate education and the next stage of their medical careers.
Through the agreement, Saint Peter’s graduates will have access to a dedicated pathway designed to help them take the next step toward medical school while benefiting from financial support, streamlined admissions and continued engagement with AUA throughout their undergraduate experience.
