Jersey City, N.J. – November 7, 2023 – The Frank J. Guarini School of Business at Saint Peter’s University today announced that it has expanded its partnership with the investment management company, Lord Abbett. Saint Peter’s originally partnered with Lord Abbett in 2020 to support the launch of the University’s first Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF). Lord Abbett has now committed to provide $15,000 annually over the next two years to support the operation of the SMIF. Lord Abbett will also continue to provide mentorship and career development opportunities for Saint Peter’s students.

Guarini School of Business at Saint Peter’s University. “Saint Peter’s students have gained practical experience in the classroom and in the field thanks to so many dedicated Lord Abbett investment professionals. Lord Abbett has also been able to recruit motivated interns and employees from the Guarini School of Business. We are grateful for the ongoing commitment and look forward to the promising trajectory of our partnership in the years ahead.”
In addition to the financial commitment, Lord Abbett will also continue to provide a mentorship council consisting of Lord Abbett investment professionals who volunteer to provide coaching, education and non-investment specific guidance to student participants. Lord Abbett will also provide ongoing experiential learning for students through boot camp training sessions, site visits to Lord Abbett’s offices, annual compliance presentations, bi-weekly council sessions and regular guest speaker presentations on financial topics.
