Alumni and Friends Can Do it Again on May 10!

Did you know that if 424 donors each gave $10 to Saint Peter’s University, 10 students could receive textbooks for an entire year?  Add $15 more to that gift, and software can be upgraded for student computer labs throughout campus. And if 424 individuals contributed $50 each to University initiatives, students would be able to receive study abroad travel grants, which offer opportunities to learn within a different culture.

“Let’s Do It Again May 10,” a campaign to acquire 424 donors via gift or pledge within 24 hours, will take place on Friday, May 10. Gifts of any size can make a difference.

“This unique campaign gives alumni and friends of Saint Peter’s the opportunity to support our students and the pathways to their success,” said Gloria Mercurio, executive director of alumni engagement at Saint Peter’s University. “Any size gift brings us one step closer to reaching this year’s goal. We know our alumni and friends will step up to the challenge.”

She added, “During last year’s event, the display of support and generosity was inspiring and demonstrated a belief in the University and its mission. We hope to continue that momentum on May 10.”

“Let’s Do It Again May 10!” is a follow up to last year’s “Let’s Get it Done June 1” initiative to obtain 140 donors on June 1, 2012 in honor of the University’s 140th anniversary. The campaign was extremely successful. The first-ever historic event exceeded original targets, with a final count of 382 donors and $90,939 raised for Saint Peter’s.

To be counted, alumni and friends should make their gift or pledge online or over the phone on May 10. For more information and to sign up for a reminder to give, visit www.spmay10.com.
