Information on H1N1 (Swine Flu) for the SPC Community

In response to predictions by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that H1N1 Influenza (also known as swine flu) will be widespread in the United States this fall, Saint Peter’s College has addressed the need for new health and sanitation measures.

Although there have been no reported cases of swine flu at the College, a comprehensive plan has been developed for the prevention and treatment of the H1N1 strain of influenza. With guidance from federal and local health officials, the staff is constantly assessing the situation and taking appropriate steps to keep the campus community safe.

Medical professionals in the Health Services Office are available to offer assistance and support.  Relevant information about the symptoms, treatment and prevention of this particular type of influenza can be found on the College Web site (www.spc.edu/swineflu).  This site will be updated regularly.
