Saint Peters College Offers Summer Tuition Discount to Undergraduate Students

Jersey City, NJ – Undergraduate students taking courses this summer at Saint Peter’s College will be eligible for discounted tuition during the College’s four 2009 Summer Sessions. The discounted tuition plan allows students to take one undergraduate course, and receive 50 percent off the second course.  Saint Peter’s designed this initiative in response to the effect the weak economy has had on students, and their ability to pay tuition costs.

The summer courses, as well as the discounted tuition prices, are available to all undergraduate students currently attending Saint Peter’s, as well as visiting students from other institutions of higher education. Upon completion of the courses, Saint Peter’s will assist visiting students with transferring course credits back to their home institution. Students can choose to register for traditional classroom courses, or take classes online – a convenient distance learning option.

In order for students to receive the half-off discount on the second course, both courses must be taken in any one of the 2009 Summer Sessions, including the 3-week intercessions.  The first Summer Sessions commence on Monday, May 18, with other sessions starting June 5 and July 1.  Courses are offered at the Jersey City and Englewood Cliffs campuses and at select corporate offsite locations.

In addition to receiving the tuition discount, students are also eligible for individualized financial counseling sessions. Developed in early 2009, this financial counseling program is designed to inform students and their parents of the financial options available in the college application process. Additionally, the College offers convenient tuition payment plans to all of its students.  For more information regarding summer payment plans and counseling sessions, visit www.spc.edu/financialaid.
