SPC to Hold HIV Awareness Program on Thursday, November 30

Jersey City – The Saint Peter’s College Criminal Justice Department will hold an HIV Awareness program in recognition of World AIDS Day on Thursday, November 30 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in McIntyre. 
 
The program will begin with at 10 a.m. with Wake up Call, a discussion led by an HIV victim about the challenges of living with the virus and its effect on the individual and family.  Eileen Flynn, Ph.D., of the Theology Department will discuss Catholic teaching and HIV prevention at 11 a.m.  The Age of Aids, a PBS Frontline documentary, will be shown at 1 p.m.    
 
Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City. The College has a branch campus for adults in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and also offers courses at various corporate sites at the Jersey City waterfront and in South Amboy, NJ.
