Dr. Jean Chu is a dynamic, an accomplished leader and a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to motivate the next generation of university students, leaders, and educators to be successful in the industry.

Prior to academia, Jean worked in the software industry specializing in software development, system engineering, consulting and business partner development at IBM, Unisys, and others. She has authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, patents with IBM. Her research interests include Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Computer education, Internet of Things (IoT) and Technology Management. She enjoys using her skills to contribute to the exciting technological advances that happen every day with her teaching philosophy and her goals are to have students come up with new ideas, creativity and innovation and contribute to today’s society.
