Daniel Cosentino, M.F.A.
Associate Professor of Art
About
Daniel Cosentino is a multimedia artist and educator whose work spans photography, sculpture, and mixed media. His creative and scholarly practice explores latent communication, symbolism, and the evolving relationship between organic and synthetic forms. Integrating traditional and contemporary methods, he investigates how visual language shapes human perception, history, and collective memory.
Cosentino earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Rutgers University, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Studio Arts from Studio Arts College International in Florence, and a Master of Fine Arts in Imaging Arts/Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Early in his career, he worked as a museum preparator at the George Eastman Museum and as manager of Jackson Hole Custom Color Lab, grounding his practice in technical precision and art-historical context.
Before joining Saint Peter’s University, Cosentino spent more than a decade teaching and leading global art programs for the Rochester Institute of Technology in Europe, where he served as Director for Media Programs and Vice President for Academic Affairs. His projects have received support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the U.S. Department of State, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions across the United States and Europe, including the New Jersey Arts Annual at the Newark Museum of Art and the Montclair Art Museum, the Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition, and the Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition in the United Kingdom, among many national and international exhibitions across the United States.
Now based in New Jersey, Professor Cosentino continues to exhibit internationally and to pursue interdisciplinary projects that merge artistic research, pedagogy, and community engagement.
