This ranking is based four key factors:
- Leadership: Measure of universities in which women are visible leaders across the academy, including within the administration as well as faculty.
- Pay & Policies: Measure of women being be fairly recognized and compensated.
- Safety: Measure of public data on crimes against women and hate crimes to understand how safe universities are.
- Opportunity: Measure of how colleges are providing opportunities to a broad range of faculty and students.
