The academic component of the program is completed within 2 ½ years. The dissertation may be completed within the same time period. The program requires the completion and successful defense of the dissertation.

What is the Ed.D Program like?
The Ed.D. Program is highly successful. This year, we have our first two graduates from the Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership with a concentration in higher education. These students started the program in fall 2012, completed the program and successfully defended their dissertation within 3 1/2 years. Due to the unique schedule of the program, completion rates are targeted one year after the academics are completed. This gives the students the opportunity to focus solely on their dissertation. Our completion rates are strong. The remaining students from Cohort I are expected to complete their dissertation within the next academic year. Presently, the hybrid/on-ground program is a 3 ½ year academic program which is being phased out.

What kind of advisement and support system will be provided to me?
Students receive ongoing support. Support and advisement would be the same as offered on campus. We maintain an open door policy.
