Emmy Award-Winning Anchor Discusses Crisis Management and Communications

Jersey City, N.J. – The Guarini Institute for Governmental Affairs hosts its second lecture of the year on October 28 with Emmy Award-winning PBS anchor, media analyst and columnist for The Star-Ledger, Steve Adubato, Ph.D. Adubato will discuss crisis management and communications. The lecture begins at 11:00 a.m. in Pope Hall on the Jersey City campus.

Adubato appears regularly on the TODAY Show, CNN, FOX News, Fox 5 New York, MSNBC and CBS 2 in New York. In his most recent book, What Were They Thinking? Crisis Communication – The Good, the Bad and the Totally Clueless, Adubato examines 22 controversial and complex public relations situations to determine what can be learned from these high-profile media encounters.

Established in 1994 by former New Jersey Congressman Frank Guarini, the Guarini Institute for Governmental Affairs aims to provide a non-partisan forum for discussion of key public policy issues among Saint Peter’s students. The Institute sponsors lectures and programs throughout the academic year to raise awareness, promote critical thinking, debate and encourage careers in public service.
