University Participates in Rebuilding Together Jersey City

This past Saturday, 49 students and staff from Saint Peter’s University participated in Rebuilding Together Jersey City. The organization’s mission is to preserve and revitalize houses and communities, ensuring that low-income homeowners, from the elderly and disabled to families with children, live in warmth, safety and independence. The Jersey City chapter is one of the 245 nation-wide affiliates of the largest, non-sectarian, nonprofit, home rehabilitation organization in the United States. The all-volunteer organization works in collaboration with communities and local businesses to rehabilitate owner-occupied, low-income homes. Saint Peter’s University had the largest volunteer group and were commended for the work. This service project was coordinated by Campus Ministry.
