WSPR Wins Big at IBS Conference

The WSPR crew attended the IBS Conference on March 7 at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City. Pictured left to right in the above photo is Daniel Concepcion ’18, Jennifer Baez ’17, Emily Acosta ’18, Professor Joe Lamachia, Isaiah Olivieri ’16, Christopher Tinajero ’18 and Blake Boles ’15. Daniel, Jennifer and Emily took first place for Most Creative Show with “Sabor Latino.” They also took home a second place trophy for Best Show Promo. Isaiah won second place for Best Specialty Show with “The Cool Table.” Blake Boles captured two second place trophies for “Bravo Mike Bravo” with awards for Best Talk Show and Best Podcast. Additional Saint Peter’s students in attendance were Shantia Beku ’17, Rob Perry ’15, Matt Puzzo ’16, Ricardo DeJesus ’15 and Ty-Kiera Brown ’15.

The conference had a huge turnout of more than a thousand students and faculty from around the country including Saint Peter’s University, NYU, The University of Colorado, Oregon State, The University of Southern California, Syracuse University, The University of Connecticut and Point Park University, among others.
