Director of Recreational Life Center
A Hudson County resident his entire life, Dave Bryngil is a vital part of the Saint Peter’s University community as the Director of the Recreational Life Center. He is a 1991 graduate of Saint Peter’s University, graduating with a BA in English. While at Saint Peter’s, Dave participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including Intramural Sports, Varsity Athletics, The Pauw Wow, Student Senate, and Campus Ministry. Dave went onto graduate from Fordham University with a Masters Degree in Public Communication in 1992.
Dave returned to Saint Peter’s University in 1992 to become Assistant Director of the Yanitelli Center. His primary responsibility was to serve as Director of Intramural Sports. He held this position until 1998. Dave became Director of the Recreational Life Center in 1998, replacing the retiring Bob Neumann.
Dave is a professional member of the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) and formerly served as the NIRSA State Director of New Jersey. He has delivered numerous presentations on leadership for Emerging Leaders, Existing Leaders, and the Magis Conference at Saint Peter’s. He has also presented on “Leadership and Communications” at two regional conferences for the National Intramural Recreational Sports Association. Dave is a member of the Saint Peter’s University Intramural Sports Hall of Fame.
Patty (Marchese) Gentile
Coordinator of Recreational and Intramural Programming
Patty is a 1999 graduate of Saint Peter’s University with a degree in English and a minor in History. While attending Saint Peter’s, Patty was on the Student Athlete Council, a member of Student Senate, and inducted to Alpha Sigma Nu. She received her Masters’ Degree in Education Administration from Saint Peter’s in 2003. Patty has been the guiding force behind the University’s extensive intramural program since 1999.
Patty was a standout member of the College’s women’s basketball team during her collegiate years, guiding the Peahens to two MAAC titles and NCAA Tournament berths in 1997 and 1999 under legendary coach Mike Granelli. For her great play on the hardwood, Patty was inducted to the Saint Peter’s University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. After playing for the Peahens, she coached basketball at Stevens Institute of Technolgy from 2000-2005.
For her dedication to Saint Peter’s University, Patty was inducted to the Order of the Cross Keys in 2004. She is also a member of the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association. Patty is originally from West Orange, New Jersey. She now resides in Roseland, NJ with her husband Gary Gentile (Class of 1998) and daughters Meghan, Lauren, Susan, and Annie.
