Ken Moore, CFA \u201991<\/p><\/div>

Jersey City, N.J. \u2013 July 31, 2023 \u2013<\/strong> Saint Peter\u2019s University today announced that Kenneth Moore, CFA \u201991, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Jennison Associates, has been elected chair of the University\u2019s Board of Trustees. A member of the Board since 2018, Moore succeeds Frank L. Fekete, CPA \u201975, who served two terms as board chair.<\/p>

Prior to joining Jennison as chief financial officer in 2003, Moore was CFO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management\u2019s U.S. business. He began his career at KPMG as an auditor. Moore, a graduate of Saint Peter\u2019s Prep, earned a B.S. in accounting from Saint Peter\u2019s, holds a M.B.A. in finance from New York University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst\u00ae.\u00a0 He is also a member of the board and finance committee for the Ranney School.<\/p>

\u201cI am honored and humbled to follow\u00a0Frank Fekete, a tremendous leader, as chair of the Board of Trustees,\u201d said Moore. \u201cI am grateful for the opportunity to serve\u00a0Saint Peter’s\u00a0in a new way as I partner with Dr. Cornacchia, faculty, staff and the entire Board of Trustees\u00a0to continue to fulfill the mission of the\u00a0University.\u201d<\/p>

In addition, five new members were elected to the Board, including Marilda L. G\u00e1ndara, Esq. \u201972, former president of the Aetna Foundation, Inc.; Thomas M. Luddy \u201974, former CIO of J.P. Morgan Asset Management; Rev. James J. Miracky, S.J., former provincial assistant for higher education for the USA East Province of the Jesuits; Elnardo J. Webster II, Esq., partner at Connell Foley LLP; and La Toro Yates, Ph.D. \u201994, \u201998, vice president of student development and enrollment management at Eugenio Mar\u00eda de Hostos Community College. The new trustees\u2019 term began on July 1.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>

Marilda L. G<\/strong>\u00e1ndara, Esq. \u201972<\/strong> emigrated from Cuba to the United States with her family as a child. After attending Saint Peter\u2019s and earning a B.A. in history, she earned a J.D. at University of Connecticut School of Law and began a 30-year career at Aetna, retiring as president of the Aetna Foundation, Inc., where she represented Aetna to the public, customers and employees on corporate citizenship issues and worked with nonprofit and public service organizations in communities throughout the United States and Latin America. G\u00e1ndara has been inducted into the Immigrant Hall of Fame and she currently serves on the Board of Trustees for UConn, the Bushnell Performing Arts Center and the Hartford Hospital Board of Governors.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>Thomas M. Luddy \u201974<\/strong> began his career as an equity research analyst at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Before his retirement in 2019, he held a variety of positions within the firm, including global head of equity, chief investment officer and vice chairman of global investment management. Luddy has served on the University\u2019s Frank J. Guarini School of Business Board of Advisors for two years. He earned his B.S. in economics and mathematics from Saint Peter\u2019s and his M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>Rev. James J. Miracky, S.J.<\/strong>, serves as associate pastor at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City. \u00a0He earned a B.A. in English and philosophy from Fordham University, a M.Div and S.T.M. from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley and a M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Rutgers University. Fr. Miracky spent most of his priestly ministry in Jesuit higher education. Most recently, he was the provincial assistant for higher education in the USA East Province, serving as a liaison between the Jesuits and the 11 Jesuit colleges and universities on the East Coast.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>Elnardo J. Webster II, Esq<\/strong>., is a partner at Connell Foley LLP where he focuses his practice in the areas of real estate and regulatory matters and government affairs. Past clients include the Department of Health, the Casino Control Commission and the Army Corp of Engineers. Jesuit educated at Saint Peter\u2019s Prep, Webster earned his B.A., M.B.A. and J.D. from Rutgers University and has served on numerous boards, including Rutgers Board of Overseers, Independent College Fund of New Jersey, Team Walker, Saint Peter\u2019s Prep, Cross Roads Theater and Cathedral Healthcare System. He is also the co-founder of Sports Futures, a nonprofit organization benefiting inner-city youth.<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>La Toro Yates, Ph.D. \u201994, \u201998<\/strong>, \u00a0is vice president of student development and enrollment management at Eugenio Mar\u00eda de Hostos Community College and is the founder of Yates Educational Solutions, which helps parents\/students and organizations with educational planning and decision-making during the college-choice process. Dr. Yates previously held positions at \u00a0\u00a0York College\/CUNY,Valley Forge Military Academy & College, William Paterson University and Saint Peter\u2019s University.\u00a0 He earned a B.S. in accounting and M.B.A. from Saint Peter\u2019s and earned his doctorate in educational leadership, management and policy from Seton Hall University.<\/p>
