ITS handles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deployment and maintenance of servers to support applications<\/li>\n<li>Creation and deletion of users<\/li>\n<li>Configuration of user permissions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"#top\"><i class=\"fa fa-arrow-up\"><\/i> Return to top of page<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Network Services<\/h3>\n<p>Information Technology Services can assist with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The installation and repair of network jacks, for computers, phones, printers and other\u00a0wired network devices<\/li>\n<li>Adding network connectivity to new areas occupied by the university including the\u00a0coordination with cabling vendors and the installation of all required network equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Wireless connectivity, including adding access points in areas that have no Wi-Fi<\/li>\n<li>Connectivity of gaming consoles over Wi-Fi through the Saint Peter\u2019s University Gaming Portal that enables residence halls users to register their gaming devices.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, Network Services maintains the connectivity between all the buildings on both campuses, as well as the internet connection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"#top\"><i class=\"fa fa-arrow-up\"><\/i> Return to top of page<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Telecom Services<\/h3>\n<p>Information Technology Services maintains the university-owned telephone system and can\u00a0assist with the deployment or configuration of telephones for employees as well as installation of\u00a0fax lines and analog lines for elevators, alarm systems, etc.<br \/>\n<a name=\"training\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#top\"><i class=\"fa fa-arrow-up\"><\/i> Return to top of page<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Instructional Technology and Training<\/h3>\n<p>Information Technology Services serves to assist, instruct and deliver training to Faculty and\u00a0Academic departments in the adoption and use of technology in both the classroom and in\u00a0distance learning, utilizing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blackboard Learn LMS\n<ul>\n<li>Regular Software Updates<\/li>\n<li>Automated integration between Blackboard and Colleague for Users, Course\u00a0Shells and Enrollment Sync<\/li>\n<li>Product &amp; Feature Updates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Program and Course Content Development<\/li>\n<li>Technology Liaison to Faculty\n<ul>\n<li>Instructional Technology<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration Tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Training sessions and workshops for Faculty, Staff and Students\n<ul>\n<li>Open office hours<\/li>\n<li>Scheduled workshops<\/li>\n<li>One on one appointments\n<ul>\n<li>On-site assistance<\/li>\n<li>Via Phone or email<\/li>\n<li>Walk-in during office hours<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"#top\"><i class=\"fa fa-arrow-up\"><\/i> Return to top of page<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"client\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Client Services<\/h3>\n<p>Client Services is composed of Helpdesk, Desktop Support &amp; Media Services combined. We\u00a0are here to assist the University\u2019s needs when it comes to computers &amp; support events. Our\u00a0office is located on the street level of Loyola Hall, 121 Glenwood Avenue. During the academic\u00a0year, we are open from 8:00 a.m.\u00a0\u2013\u00a07:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 8:00 a.m.\u00a0\u2013\u00a05:00 p.m. on Friday.\u00a0For computer help, our Service Desk can be reached at (201)\u00a0761-7800 or for non-emergency\u00a0situations, email us at <a href=\"mailto:servicedesk@saintpeters.edu\">servicedesk@saintpeters.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#top\"><i class=\"fa fa-arrow-up\"><\/i> Return to top of page<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Computer Labs<\/h3>\n<p>The Information Technology Service (ITS) supports the computer resource areas for the\u00a0University. Except for units designated for special purposes, all units allow student access to the\u00a0Internet, email, and Microsoft Office. Each area has its own network printer and paper supplies.\u00a0Some of the software products supported are: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access &amp; SPSS. Every\u00a0classroom has high-speed access to the Internet. Each student receives his or her own account\u00a0and password for email.
