{"id":1207,"date":"2021-05-20T15:11:37","date_gmt":"2021-05-20T19:11:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saintpeters.edu\/human-resources\/?page_id=1207"},"modified":"2025-01-16T12:47:29","modified_gmt":"2025-01-16T17:47:29","slug":"educational-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.saintpeters.edu\/human-resources\/benefits\/educational-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Educational Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Employee Tuition Remission<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h5>Undergraduate Coursework:<\/h5>\n<p>After completion of 90-days of service, all full-time employees of the University are entitled to receive 100% remission of tuition and\u00a0 fees\u00a0 for\u00a0 undergraduate\u00a0 courses\u00a0 incurred\u00a0 in\u00a0 furtherance of their\u00a0 own education at the University.<\/p>\n<h5>Graduate Coursework:<\/h5>\n<p>After completion of 90-days of service, all full-time employees of the University are entitled to receive 100% remission of tuition and fees for graduate courses (excluding doctorate\u00a0 level courses and online program courses) and a 50% remission of tuition and fees for doctorate level courses taken in furtherance of their own education at the University up to a maximum of 12 credits per fiscal year (July 1<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">st <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to June 30<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>*Employees must complete a <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdIAqCQd8gRgZztgL_dQlTeCggbLqgmunOQjnM-dwergks4AA\/viewform?pli=1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuition Remission<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> form <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">before registering. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>For further information regarding tuition remission please refer to the Employee Handbook or contact the Office of Human Resources at\u00a0 hrdept@saintpeters.edu.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Dependent Tuition Remission<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h5>Undergraduate Coursework:<\/h5>\n<p>After the completion of 1 year of service, the employee\u2019s dependent children are entitled\u00a0 to receive 100% remission of tuition for undergraduate courses, excluding room and\u00a0 board,\u00a0 and\u00a0 fees. After the completion of 1 year of service, the employee\u2019s spouse is entitled to receive 50% remission of tuition for undergraduate courses. Other than as\u00a0 specifically stated,\u00a0 this\u00a0 benefit\u00a0 does not extend to any other members of the employee\u2019s family or to non-dependent children of the employee.<\/p>\n<h5>Graduate Coursework:<\/h5>\n<p>The employee\u2019s dependent children and spouse are entitled to each receive 50% remission of tuition for graduate courses (excluding doctorate level courses and online program courses).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Tuition Exchange Program (FACHEX)<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The University participates in the Jesuit Tuition Exchange Program (FACHEX),\u00a0 Tuition\u00a0 Exchange Program and the Council of Independent University Tuition Program.
