Saint Peter’s Partners with Montclair State University on Graduate Scholarships Grant

Saint Peter’s University in collaboration with Montclair State University was awarded funding for Opening Pathways, Engaging, and Networking in Chemistry in Northern New Jersey (OPEN-NJ) through the National Science Foundation.  OPEN-NJ is a program that offers Saint Peter’s students $10,000 a year while enrolled in Montclair State University’s graduate program. Ed Moskal, Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Sciences, presented a paper, entitled “A Model for Establishing a Cybersecurity Center of Excellence,” at the 2014 ISECON Conference (November 2014).  It received a “Meritorious Paper Award” and will be published in the Information Systems Education Journal (ISEDJ) in November 2015 (Vol. 13. No. 6.  ISSN 1545-679X).

Michael Held, Biology

Dr. Michael Held, Professor of Biology (along with co-authors, Dr. Joe Winstead, Southern Arkansas University, and Dr. William Bryant, Thomas More College) presented a paper entitled “Long-Term Recovery Dynamics of a Tornado-Damaged Forest in Boone County, Kentucky” at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Southeastern Biologists held this past April in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
