Date: Thursday, May 18, 2017
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
The Saint Peter’s University Office of Alumni Engagement cordially invites all 2017 graduates and a guest to the John J. Delaney ’50 Graduate Reception. The Delaney Reception is the first opportunity for Saint Peter’s to welcome the Class of 2017 as alumni. We hope this event will serve as a starting point for every member of the graduating class to remain an integral part of the University.
A lovely cocktail reception will be held. Business casual attire for this event is preferred. Formal invitations to the event will be emailed to all graduation candidates in April.
Two members of the graduating class and a member of the faculty are recognized at this event each year. The awards are as follows:
- The James J. Damiano ’53 Award is named after a dedicated member of the Alumni Board from the Class of 1953. The award is presented to two members of the graduating class, representing the day and evening sessions, who have demonstrated leadership and scholarship, and have been active during their time at Saint Peter’s University.
- The George F. Johnson, S.J. Faculty Award, named in honor of the legendary Jesuit who served at the University, is presented to a member of the faculty whose excellence in teaching results in successfully leading students to greater knowledge and understanding of their subject matter.
