Regina Gwynn Set to Speak for Fourth Annual Women Entrepreneurship Week

The entrance of the Mac Mahon Student Center @Saint Peter’s. Regina Gwynn, the speaker for the Oct. 19 event, will speak in Conference Room 527 of the student center.

Jili Zhu, Contributing Writer (The Pauw Wow) Oct 18, 2017–Regina Gwynn had an impressive resume even before she became the Co-Founder and CEO at TresseNoire, a beauty booking app for women in the New York and Philadelphia area.

Not only was she a marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience at The Apparel Group, she was also involved with the integrated marketing communications programs with ROC, Sports Illustrated, SXSW, Details, and GQ magazines.

On top of all of that, she has been serving as the Vice Chair on the Strategic Advisory Board for Rising Tide Capital, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization based in Jersey City for seven years.

Regina Gwynn will be visiting the Saint Peter’s campus to host a talk on Oct. 19 on the 5th floor conference room of the Mac Mahon Student Center as a part of the 4th Annual Women Entrepreneurship Week Series.

A main portion of the event will be focusing on how to take a business idea and turn it into an achievable plan. Regina is also expected to share a more extensive look at her entrepreneurial journey. The event is sponsored by the Ignite Institute of Saint Peter’s University.

“Regina Gwynn is a leading woman entrepreneur in the community. I was a judge in a business competition, and was very impressed with her pitch so we think she can help provide advice and inspiration for our current community of entrepreneurs,” said Professor Mary Kate Naatus, Director of Research for Ignite Institute and the Department Chair for the Business Administration.

All attendees will be provided with food prepared by Chick-Fil-A. Guests registered for and planning to attend the event can reserve parking spots by directly reaching out to the Ignite Institute.

In addition to the event, the Ignite Institute will be hosting more entrepreneurship-focused events throughout the year. It is also seeking applications for the Shark Tank Competition it is holding for this year, all applications can be submitted through Google Forms.
