Koinonia is Saint Peter’s student-led retreat held at the beautiful retreat center in Stirling, NJ. Take a weekend away from the stresses of class, work, and all of life’s daily pressures for community, reflection, relaxation, and fun. Koinonia is open to all Saint Peter’s students of all religious and spiritual backgrounds.
The Freshmen Retreat is a time for the first-year students to get to know one another, to receive guidance from the upper-class leaders. It is a great time reflect on the transition to college – how you got to where you are and how you want to spend the coming years. Finally, this retreat will introduce you to Jesuit values and what it means to attend a Jesuit university. The retreat will leave after the freshmen day of service so you can do both if you would like.
This partially silent weekend retreat is rooted deeply in Scripture and Ignatian Spirituality. It is an opportunity for students to deepen or develop a greater awareness of God already at work in their lives. This retreat also allows students to engage in periods of silence for prayer, reflection, and spiritual reading. There will be opportunities for one-on-one spiritual direction as well during the weekend.
This is an overnight, off-campus, student-led retreat for female students occurring in April of the spring semester. The Women’s Retreat provides a safe and open space for female students to share, discuss, and reflect on the joys and challenges of womanhood both personally and in the larger world. Participants will listen, create, journal, share meals, and laugh together. On the Women’s Retreat, all students are welcome regardless of religious (or non-religious) belief.
