Honors Club Hosts Honors & Kappa Kappa Alpha Alumni Night
Recently, the Honors Club hosted several alumni from 2000 and prior. When the Honors Program was still expanding into what it is currently, the social events were conducted by Kappa Kappa Alpha (KKA), founded in 1987. Kappa Kappa Alpha eventually became the Honors Club, which is the student-run social aspect of the Honors Program. The alumni spoke to current students about graduate school opportunities, including fellowships and other research experiences. Additionally, the alumni gave advice for entering the job field and how to make their degree applicable to any career opportunity that may come their way. The Honors Program and Honors Club would especially like to thank alumna Shannon (Sullivan) Pullaro, Ph.D. ’99 for establishing communications between KKA members and the Honors Club.
