Nicole will matriculate at NYU in the fall.Nicole is a Philosophy, History, and Psychology triple major, and a member of the Honors Program. She serves as the President of the John T. Coughlin History Club, the Philosophy Club, the Psychology Club, and Psi-Chi, the Psychology Honor Society. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the Jesuit Honor Society; Phi Sigma Tau, the Philosophy Honor Society; Psi-Chi, the Psychology Honor Society; Phi Alpha Theta, the History Honor Society; and Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society. Additionally, she works as a research assistant to two professors at Saint Peter&#8217;s University and spends her free time volunteering in the University&#8217;s archive.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole has held several internships working in archives in the past, including the Jerome Gillen (&#8217;66) Summer Internship Program, sponsored by the History Department.<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<p>This spring, Nicole will defend her Honors thesis titled, &#8220;An Analysis of <em>The Freewheelin\u2019 Bob Dylan<\/em> and <em>Tempest<\/em> through the Triad of Experience, Observation, and Imagination.&#8221; Her advisor is Dr. Lisa O&#8217;Neill Sanders of the Philosophy Department.<\/p>\n<article id=\"post-137\" class=\"content post-137 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-news\">In the future,\u00a0Nicole would like to pursue a doctorate in German history.Congratulations, Nicole, and best of luck at NYU!<\/p>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The History Department wishes a hearty congratulations to Nicole Font, Class of 2020, for her acceptance into New York University&#8217;s Archives and Public History graduate program.
