While there, she worked on and presented chapters of her current project: <em>THE WAR WITHIN: Frodo as Sacrificial Hero<\/em>, a book related to her ongoing study of J.R.R. Tolkien and <em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>James Armstrong, Ph.D., adjunct instructor in English, had his play <em>Dark Night of the Soul<\/em>, a retelling of the Joan of Arc story, chosen by the Pennsylvania <em>Nittany Theatre at the Barn<\/em> as the winner of their 2017 Theatre of the First Amendment Play Festival. Dr. Armstrong also just completed his doctoral program at The Graduate Center of City University of New York (CUNY).
