Chemistry Professor Receives National Award for Service
Patricia Ann Redden, Ph.D., professor of chemistry, received an award at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS) for serving on the ACS Council for 30 years. Dr. Redden was an elected representative of the New York Section of ACS for those years and served on many national committees.

Students and Faculty Present at the National Chemical Society Meeting
Faculty and students from the chemistry department presented at the National American Chemical Society meeting in San Francisco August 10 through the 14. The students presented two papers, “Student prepared videos to document instrumentation and laboratory procedures,” and “Science and the synthesis of artificial scents and flavors.”
