The Path to the STEM Dream for Young Scholars

STEM studentsLast month a group of approximately 80 middle and high school students, family members, Saint Peter’s undergraduate students and educators came to Saint Peter’s University to attend an event titled, “The Path to the STEM Dream for Young Scholars.” The event was a collaborative effort between the departments of biology, chemistry, mathematics, applied science and technology, LEEP, and student clubs including the Biology Club, Mendel Club, Collins Chemistry Club, Save Club, Math Club, Physics Club and the TriBeta National Biological Honor Society Student Chapter. The event focused on promoting diversity in STEM. The event consisted of a keynote speaker, various hands-on workshops in the laboratory, admissions and financial aid workshops for families and a STEM careers panel of professionals in the field.
