Cyber Security Boot-Camps

Last week 25 graduate and undergraduate students attended the first Saturday series boot-camp of the fall semester. M.S. in cyber security students run the program. Attendees learned about:

– Credit card fraud and prevention
– Social media and privacy
– Digital footprints on the web and documents
– Anonymity, TOR and VPN
– Encryption for disk, messages and flash drives
– Personal firewall and software inspector
– Browser, AdBlock and privacy
– DNS and security
– IoT and mobile security

Upcoming Saturday Boot-Camps are scheduled for noon – 2:30 p.m. on the following Saturdays in the Mac Mahon Student Center, Conference Room 527:
