Joseph Gilkey, Jr. is the Interim Chair Business Administration Department, Asst. Professor, Director, Masters in Consumer Science, and Executive Director Ignite Institute at Saint Peter’s University. He has been an Adjunct Asst. Professor at St John’s University and has also taught as an Adjunct Lecturer at the New York Institute of Technology in Statistical Sampling and Decision Science for Management.
Dr. Gilkey has his PhD from International School of Management Paris France and received an M.B.A. from Indiana University, a B.B.A. in Business Management from Dowling College, and an A.A.S. in Business Administration from Suffolk Community College. He has over 30 years of executive management experience in all facets of the newspaper business, overseeing the Circulation, Promotion, Web Operations, and Consumer Marketing departments as Senior Vice-President/Chief Consumer Officer of the New York Daily News, the largest daily tabloid newspaper in circulation in the US and the 5th largest media website in the US. Research areas of concentration Consumer Behaviour and business analytics.
