Malcolm X. Shabazz High School junior James Blamah-Sah (Newark, NJ) won $10,000 in cash on Saturday by winning the 3rd annual Saint Peter’s College Oratorical Contest sponsored by the Guarini Center for Governmental Affairs.

Saint Peter’s College nursing student Sue Mollica (Township of Washington, NJ -BergenCounty) has won a $1,000 scholarship from the New Jersey Institute of Nursing as the 13th annual winner of the Meridian Healthcare Systems Jean Marshal Scholar Award. Mollica is pursuing a Master’s of Science in Nursing and was honored for her academic excellence.
Saint Peter’s College will recognize the achievements of three prominent alumni and one long-time member of the school’s administration when it holds its 13th Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards dinner on Thursday, April 1 at the Hyatt Regency on the Hudson in Jersey City.
Saint Peter’s College will send a group of 10 students, faculty and staff this summer to experience culture and assist in building homes, gardens and improving children’s literacy in Honduras. This marks the third straight year that Saint Peter’s has organized such a community-service trip to this Central American country.
