Neil Cavuto to Serve as Keynote Speaker for 40th Annual Regents Business Symposium

Jersey City, N.J. – Neil Cavuto, host of the television news program Your World with Neil Cavuto, will serve as the keynote speaker for the Saint Peter’s College 40th Annual Regents Business Symposium on Friday, November 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson. The Symposium is one of New Jersey’s longest-running forums designed to inspire and educate an audience of all ages, professions and industries regarding business trends, challenges and best practices.

 
The focus of this year’s forum is New Jersey: Building Tomorrow’s Economy Today; additional speakers addressing the theme are Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, Patricia Russo, former chairman and CEO of Alcatel-Lucent and Thomas Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. The goal of the Symposium is to confront and explore solutions to timely, challenging issues facing the state and nation.

Your World with Neil Cavuto is currently the top-rated signature business show on cable news. In addition to hosting the program, Cavuto also oversees all business news content for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network as senior vice president, anchor and managing editor. Prior to joining FOX News, Cavuto anchored and hosted daily live programming on CNBC for shows such as Market Wrap, Power Lunch and Business Insiders. He also served as a contributor to NBC’s Today Show and NBC News at Sunrise.

Cavuto is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University and obtained a master’s degree from American University. In addition to serving as a White House intern during the Carter administration, he also authored two New York Times’ bestsellers, More Than Money: True Stories of People Who Learned Life’s Ultimate Lesson and Your Money and Your Life.

Guadagno was elected New Jersey’s first lieutenant governor in November 2009 and has since led the Christie Administration’s efforts to improve New Jersey’s economic vitality, to streamline government, and to make businesses feel welcome in New Jersey again. In addition to serving as the lieutenant governor, Guadagno serves as the 33rd secretary of state and operates the Business Action Center, which is a one-stop shop for business retention, attraction and expansion.

Russo has more than 20 years of experience successfully leading a number of major national and international technology companies. Most recently, she served as the chairman and CEO of the French-American multinational giant, Alcatel-Lucent. In 2007, Russo was named the tenth most powerful woman in the world by Forbes. She currently serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including Alcoa, Merck, General Motors and the Partnership for a Drug-Free America.

Bracken recently became the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, taking the reins of the state’s business advocacy organization as it celebrates its 100th anniversary. He has been involved with the Chamber for more than 30 years and has four decades of experience in the banking and financial services industry. Bracken previously served as president of TriState Capital Bank’s New Jersey operation.
