Message from the Acting President on Tragedy at Virginia Tech

Message from the Acting President on Tragedy at Virginia Tech

The entire Saint Peter’s College community shares in the grief and sorrow of the victims and families of the Virginia Tech tragedy this week.

We remembered the Virginia Tech family at a Mass in the Chapel of Saint Peter on April 17. The Campus Ministry Office will host a reflection and discussion on Monday, April 23 at noon.

Students, faculty and staff may sign a journal card in the Campus Ministry office to express their condolences, sympathy and support. The card will be sent to the Student Affairs Office at Virginia Tech next week.

The Center for Personal Development at Saint Peter’s offers support services and counseling to members of the College community. You may contact the Center at 201-761-6420 or call 1-800-273-TALK at any time.

The safety and well-being of the College community – students, faculty and staff – remain a top priority. We continue to implement significant upgrades to ensure as safe an environment as possible.

Please continue to keep all affected by the events of this past week in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D.
Acting President
