Saint Peter’s College Will Sponsor Jesuit Undergraduate Colloquium in Philosophy

February 24, 2003– Jersey City, NJ– Saint Peter’s College will hold its first Jesuit Undergraduate Colloquium in Philosophy on Saturday, April 5 in the Pope Lecture Hall. Fordham University Professor of Philosphy Dr. James Marsh is the featured speaker. The event is sponsored by the Saint Peter’s College Philosophy Department, headed by student organizers Jeffrey Englehardt (Jersey City, NJ) and Charles Lassiter (Alexandria, VA). “ The department wants to bring recognition to the great talent it has here at Saint. Peter’s and wants to provide an opportunity for Saint. Peter’s philosophy majors to submit work and present it without having to travel to another school,” Lassiter said. “We also hope students from the other area Jesuit schools participate.” The Colloquium is open to students from the nation’s 28 Jesuit colleges and universities.
