Jersey City, NJ – Saint Peter’s College sophomore Mohammad Riaz (Jersey City, NJ), will present his paper, “The Road to Morality: Simone de Beauvoir and Once Were Warriors” to the Undergraduate Philosophy Conference at Towson State University in Towson, Maryland on April 27. The conference accepts submissions from students across the country, with fewer than 10 accepted for presentation. Riaz is a double major in philosophy and economics with a 3.91 GPA.

“Mohammad has worked hard on this paper and presentation,” Saint Peter’s College Assistant Professor of Philosopy Peter Costello said. “He has a good grasp on de Beauvoir’s thoughts on ethics and the consistent and rigorous kind of thinking that helps someone succeed at being a good person.”

Saint Peter’s College is the Jesuit College of New Jersey. Founded in 1872, Saint Peter’s has an enrollment of more than 3,000 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The main campus is located in Jersey City and a branch campus, specializing in adult education, is located in Englewood Cliffs.
