April 12, 2002– Four Saint Peter’s College Professors To Participate in National Nursing Education Seminar

Jersey City, NJ – Four faculty members of the Saint Peter’s College Nursing program, housed at the College’s Englewood Cliffs campus, will participate in the Helene Fuld Leadership Education Grant Workshops conducted by the College of Nursing at Purdue University.

Saint Peter’s is one of four schools nationally that will participate in the four-day seminar on May 16-17 at Bloomfield College and November 20-21 at Saint Peter’s.

Dr. Sharon Hellwig (Lebanon, NJ), Dr. Enda Nolan (Milltown, NJ), Mary Diguilio (Oradell, NJ), and Denise Tate (Atlantic Highlands, NJ) will join colleagues from the University of North Carolina Charlotte, University of Delaware, Bloomfield College and Spalding University at the conference. The group will gain information on the best methods available to teach students leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.

“The workshops will enhance the faculty’s knowledge base in leadership content. Our students will receiving cutting edge information in this area,” said Nursing Program Associate Dean Marylou Yam said.
