What was your favorite memory of Saint Peter’s University?
It’s definitely the faculty. I had a great relationship with many members of the Criminal Justice Department that encouraged me to go on to law school. In my third year at St. Peter’s, I completed a semester abroad at Universidad Del Salvador in Argentina. That experience greatly influenced my decision to relocate to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I want every prospective student applying to Saint Peter’s University to know that the faculty there want you to succeed and will help you unlock your true potential.

Why should students choose Saint Peter’s University?

“It will feel like your home away from home. There is a good blend of academics, social life, easy access to professors, and a sense of pride. My class sizes are small and acclimating to life on campus was simple.”

How has your Saint Peter’s University experience changed you?
“I arrived at Saint Peter’s with two suitcases not knowing what to expect. Coming from Nepal, my way of life as you can imagine was very different. Adjusting to the American lifestyle did take time. The Saint Peter’s community, however, welcomed me with open arms and helped me be so much more than I had previously imagined. Saint Peter’s University taught me to live life in accord to the Ignatian ideal of the Magis, “to do the more, do the better, do the greater”. I am very thankful to the generosity with which Saint Peter’s instilled in me. I hope that other international students are able to embody and embrace that ideal during their Saint Peter’s University experience.”

How has your Saint Peter’s University experience changed you?
“Before I started my Saint Peter’s University journey, I was an HR professional in China. Bored of the same daily routine, I decided to take charge of my life and found the MBA program at Saint Peter’s University to be a good fit for my future career goals. When I arrived on campus, I found the university to be small and I noticed that I didn’t see many Chinese students on campus. I was worried about how easily I would integrate into the campus community. I shouldn’t have had any doubts as the staff and professors made every effort to welcome me into the Saint Peter’s family within minutes of my arrival. I certainly didn’t feel like just a number here. Shortly after starting my classes, I was exposed to a plethora of internship opportunities, recreational and volunteer activities. There were more choices than one could ever have imagine. I could even get tutoring services if I felt I needed them to ensure my academic success. The close knit and diverse community surpassed all of my expectations. It seems like everyone knows everyone here. Not only are you minutes from central Manhattan, you will connect with your classmates, discover new passions and explore the world around you in a way that no other university can offer you. You will have the college experience you’ve always dreamed of here.”

What do you like best about being a Saint Peter’s University Student?
“After completing a major part of my education in India, I decided to purse a degree in Data Science at Saint Peters University. The experience has been extremely refreshing. The curriculum encourages students to brainstorm and research subject matter while submitting their assignments at regular intervals throughout the semester. The faculty is well versed in the subject matter and is fully committed to share practical applications of the covered topics with real time scenarios. The class room atmosphere is very encouraging allowing for thoughtful and meaningful discussions amongst my peers. Outside guest are invited regularly to provide industry & market knowledge. I feel proud being associated with the Saint Peters University. This is definitely a place which aims high in providing me the best opportunities toward my bright and successful future.”

Why do you think Saint Peter’s University stands out from other institutions?
Cura personalis! When I arrived at Saint Peter’s, I was still adjusting to life in the United States. Landing at Saint Peter’s was the best thing that could have happened to me. Most of the people I met, whether professors or administrators, took their vocation of educating one student at a time to heart. If you were looking for a job there were at least three people working with you on the search. If you needed advice on how to pace your learning or continue growing in God’s grace, there was always someone interested.”
