Assessment of Student Learning and Institutional Effectiveness

At Saint Peter’s University, assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness occurs in several complementary activities:

ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT LEARNING

Assessment of student learning is perceived as integral to effective teaching and learning. Two committees oversee the assessment of student learning outcomes: the Core Assessment Committee (CAC) and the Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Team (SLOAT).

ASSESSMENT OF INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

The University is committed to assessing how effectively it is achieving its mission and goals. Three committees support the assessment of institutional effectiveness: the Improving through Methodical Practices in Assessment to Change and Transform (IMPACT), the Strategic Planning and Budget Committee (SPBC), and the Institutional Effectiveness Committee (IEC) .
