Journalism Students Receive Behind-the-Scenes Tour of PIX11 Newsroom and Studio

John Muller, anchor of the PIX11 News at 5:00, 6:00 and 10:00 p.m.(and Professor Ernabel Demillo’s husband) gave a behind-the-scenes tour of the PIX11 Newsroom and Studio in New York. The journalism students visited the newsroom and watched the live 5:00 p.m. broadcast from the studio and control room. Along with John Muller, they met with Emmy award-winning anchors Tamsen Fadal, Kaity Tong and meteorologist Mr. G. They also got to chat with the behind the scenes crew who gave them advice on how to break into television and the challenges and commitment needed to work in media today. For all the students it was their first live broadcast to watch and it proved to be an exciting one with breaking news and NY primary coverage.
